Poolside Chat Episode #25: Used & Refurbished Pool Equipment

This is Poolside Chat where every week we answer your questions on how to fix and maintain your swimming pool. Poolside Chat is presented by INYOPools.com, helping pool owners find the right parts since 2001. In today’s episode of Poolside Chat, Rob and Matt tackle another common swimming pool question:
  • Is there an Inyo Pools Clearance section, for reduced or scratch and dent products?

Now here’s your hosts – Matt and Rob.

“Does Inyo have any used or refurbished pool equipment?”

-Terrance from Oklahoma City

“Yes we do, and I know this because I singlehandedly built the clearance section“, says Rob. We like to call it “Rob’s Closet.”

In Inyo’s clearance section, we carry pumps, filters, lights, cleaners and more. Our clearance items are labeled as new, used, and refurbished. Products make it to the

clearance section because has been reduced because the either there is overstock, it is scratch and dent, or there is a great deal on a particular item.

For example, these pool salt systems are brand new and half the cost of a big name brand. Inyo received a great deal from the manufacturer and now we pass it along to you. The same with these brand new above ground pool Jacuzzi pump/filter skid packs.

If an item is scratch and dent, it will be marked clearly in the title or description. We also post a picture of the unit to show its condition, so you feel comfortable placing the order.

  1. Be cautious about buying a salt system manufactured by CompuPools. They refuse to honor their warranty and have dozens of complaints at the BBB concerning their refusals.

    1. We have heard of and experienced CompuPool’s warranty issues; and that’s why Inyo tries to step in to fix our customer’s Compupool warranty issues. it’s not the ideal situation but it is the only option sometimes.
