How To Identify Pool Plumbing Lines and Valves

It can be overwhelming to look at pool plumbing and figure out where each line goes and which valve to turn. In this Pool Care Basics Video, we explain how to identify each pool plumbing line as well the diverter valves that control the flow.

Before turning on the pump to test the lines, make sure the valves are set to an open position so that the pump is able to pull water and return it to the pool. Keep a minimum of one intake and one return line open when testing the lines. Failure to open the lines can result in a damaged pump or plumbing.
